Our advertising and sponsorship policy

Wits & Weights is free to listen to and we hope you enjoy it!

Our show is supported by sponsors, affiliate partnerships, and our own coaching products and services (including but not limited to coaching, education, and apps), and sponsors are an important part of what keeps the show running.

Many podcast sponsors prefer host-read ads, which means I talk about their product in my own words.

To be clear, it’s still an advertisement.

It’s not a review, and I'm not going to say explicitly (or suggest) that a specific product or service (like a protein powder or supplement) is the “best” simply because the company paid for an ad spot.

Here's how it works.

A sponsor gets to approve the content of their own ad, and that's it.

  • They don't see or approve episodes, guests, or anything I say outside the ad.

  • If a sponsor's product or category comes up in an episode, I cover the research the same way I cover everything else, and if the evidence doesn't support something they sell, I'll say so.

I'll always tell you when you're hearing an ad.

  • If I earn a commission through an affiliate link or code, I'll tell you that too. And when I talk about my own programs, I'm obviously biased, so I'll try to make that obvious.

Guests are vetted separately.

  • I look for real credentials in their field, claims grounded in human research, and a business that doesn't depend solely on the specific claims they make on the show.
